I am a style-lover with a passion for singing. I enjoy exploring and trying new things, and I overanalyze everything. I try to surround myself with people who make me happy and a better person. I love finding treasures in unexpected places. I love surprises. I strive to live each day with a positive attitude, and if I can, I want to help other people to do the same.

So what about the name? Why Beauty and the Beach? Well, I have spent my entire life (so far) living in beach towns, which has truly shaped the person I am today. The small community, the active lifestyle, and the unique characters that all come with these beach towns inspire me. The beach also embodies the beauty in the natural world in my mind. The name Beauty and the Beach came about when I was thinking about what I wanted my blog to say; what did I want the bottom line to be? I wanted it to be about the aesthetically beautiful things both in areas we control (i.e. make-up, style, music, art) and those we cannot control (i.e. body shape, height, natural talents, the natural world). When "Beauty and the Beach" crossed my mind, I could finally see all of those things combined in four words and it just stuck.
